Community Collaboration Launches Social Support Project in Cornuda

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most disadvantaged social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces took part in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funds allocated for the initiative amount to about one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and community funds.

Activities and Expected Goals

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Additionally, social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
