Community Collaboration Launches Support for Vulnerable Groups in Cornuda

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last for two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union grants.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the target groups. Additionally, social transport and institutions, such as listening and gathering centers, will be strengthened.
