Community Collaboration Supports Vulnerable Residents in Cornuda
Start of the agreement and participants
On early June 1996, an agreement was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most socially vulnerable individuals.
A few representatives from local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of seniors and disabled residents in the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the ’ initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.
Activities and expected goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
Social transportation and services will also be enhanced, along with listening centers and gathering places.
