Community Initiative in Cornuda Focuses on Social Inclusion and Support

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project in favor of the most socially vulnerable people.

Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of Neighborhood Associations and various volunteer associations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which has a duration of two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality.

The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and community funds.

Activities and Expected Goals

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the categories most in need.

Social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be enhanced.
