Community Initiative Supports Vulnerable Groups in Cornuda

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last two years, aims particularly to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and EU funds.

Activities and Expected Goals

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need. Additionally, social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
