Community Initiative Supports Vulnerable Groups in Cornuda’s Two-Year Project

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention took place in the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total funds allocated for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and EU funds.

Activities and Expected Goals

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be strengthened, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
