Community Support Initiative in Cornuda Aims for Social Inclusion
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most disadvantaged social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives from the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories of the most vulnerable. Additionally, social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
