Community Support Initiative Launched in Cornuda for Vulnerable Groups
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On early June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for target groups. Additionally, social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
