The fifth-grade students of the “Accoglienza” program at the Luigi Carnacina Hotel Institute in Bardolino have organized a conference titled “The Garda I Would Like…”. The conference will focus on the Garda cycle path, accessible and sustainable tourism, and safety. These topics have sparked the interest of the students, who are increasingly attentive to the issues addressed in their educational path.
The conference will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the “La Fabbrica dell’acqua” hall of the Caesius Thermae & SPA Resort in Bardolino, under the patronage of the Veneto Region and the Municipality of Bardolino. The students have managed all the stages of the conference organization, with the valuable guidance of Dr. Nicola Thurner and the collaboration of Professor Mauro Coppa.
According to Asia Bertani, one of the students involved in the organization, the experience has been engaging and fascinating because they have been able to experience what it means to organize an event from scratch. They have worked in teams and would like to thank the Headmaster Eugenio Campara for the opportunity offered and the teacher Nicola Thurner who accompanied them in this workshop along with tutor Prof. Coppa.
Headmaster Eugenio Campara commented that this initiative is important for developing the students’ knowledge and didactic skills, promoting active citizenship. The students have had the opportunity to delve into the tourist aspects related to Lake Garda, a context of great relevance for the Luigi Carnacina Institute, and which represents an important European lake basin affected by a tourism that is increasingly attentive to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
During the conference, a round table discussion will be held, moderated by journalist Alice Cristiano and assisted by student Asia Bertani. The Vice President of the Veneto Region, Elisa De Berti, the Directors of Veneto Strade, the President of AGS Angelo Cresco, the President of Federalberghi Garda Veneto Ivan De Beni, the President of the Province Flavio Pasini, and the Mayors of Bardolino Lauro Sabaini, Garda Davide Bendinelli, and Torri del Benaco Stefano Nicotra will be present. They all participate in this important initiative aimed at raising awareness in the area and promoting tourism that is more attentive to local attractions and the environment.
At the end of the conference, a buffet prepared by the students of the Luigi Carnacina IPSAR Institute in Bardolino, specializing in food and wine, will be offered. You can find more information about the news here.
