Cornuda Launches Social Inclusion Project for Elderly and Disabled

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On early June 1996, a convention was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for the signing of a project in favor of the most socially vulnerable people.

Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ^’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which lasts two years, aims specifically to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality.

The total amount allocated for the ^’ initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and community funds.

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the categories most in need.

Furthermore, social transports and services, listening centers, and gathering places will be enhanced.
