Cornuda Launches Social Support Project for Vulnerable Groups

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project in support of the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Community funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transports will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.
The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community gatherings and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
The municipal administration has committed itself to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
