Cornuda Launches Social Support Project for Vulnerable Residents
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the initiative, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.
Activities and Planned Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need. Additionally, social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
