Cornuda Social Inclusion Initiative Supported by Local Authorities and Volunteers

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On early June 1996, a convention was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the quartiere association and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will span two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the weaker groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
