Cornuda Social Inclusion Project Launches with Community, Regional Support
Start of the agreement and participants
On the beginning of June 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for the signing of a project in favor of the most socially vulnerable people.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and funding
The project, which will last two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents of the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the ’ initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.
Activities and expected goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for weaker categories.
Additionally, social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering points will be enhanced.
