Cornuda Social Inclusion Project Launches with Regional Funding

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to about one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization activities for the weaker groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
