Cornuda Social Inclusion Project: Local Collaboration Supports Vulnerable Groups
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for signing a project aimed at supporting the most socially vulnerable individuals.
Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the ’ initiative amounts to about one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and community funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
There will also be an enhancement of social transport services, listening centers, and gathering places.
