Cornuda Social Inclusion Project Supported by Local Authorities and Volunteers

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project in favor of the most socially disadvantaged people.

Some representatives of local political and social forces attended the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last for two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.

The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European Community funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the weaker categories.

Additionally, social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering places will be enhanced.
