Forte Garda extends Dal Fucile alla Matita exhibition to October 11

A Forte Garda, above Riva del Garda, the exhibition “From Rifle to Pencil” will run until 11 October 2026. The show is open throughout September and continues until mid-October as part of a broader programme focused on promoting the forts of Upper Garda.

The exhibition traces how tools and perspectives have changed over time, linking the fort’s military memory with the role of culture and knowledge. The title uses the shift “from rifle to pencil” as a metaphor for reading and telling the places differently. At the same venue, the series “The Forts Tell Their Stories” also continues, offering events on the fortified system and its historical developments.
