Cornuda Social Project Launches to Support Elderly and Disabled Communities

Beginning of the agreement and participants

On the day beginning of June 1996, a convention was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for the signing of a project in favor of the most socially disadvantaged people.

Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ^’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which has a duration of two years, aims particularly to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality.

The total amount allocated for the implementation of the ^’ initiative amounts to about one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.

Transport services, social services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be enhanced.
