Cornuda Social Support Initiative: EU Funding & Community Engagement

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, an agreement was signed in the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for a project supporting the most socially vulnerable individuals. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last two years, aims primarily to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European Union grants.

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the target populations. Additionally, social transport and services, listening centers, and gathering spaces will be enhanced.
