Cornuda Social Support Initiative Launches with €100K Funding for Vulnerable Residents
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most socially vulnerable individuals.
Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the ’ initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Union funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
Additionally, social transport and services, listening centers, and community gathering points will be enhanced.
