Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Well-Being

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event involved several representatives from local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, aims especially to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total budget allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and community funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved entities.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
