Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Inclusion with €100K Funding

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved several representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will have a duration of two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for those involved, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting these initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordinating the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
