Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Vulnerable Residents’ Well-Being

Cornuda Agreement

On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening centers and gathering spaces will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the people involved, also creating opportunities for encounters and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing security services and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.

Overall, the agreement represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at safeguarding and improving the quality of life of the most vulnerable people.
