Start of the agreement and participants
On early June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association (associazione di quartiere), and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and funding
The project, which will last two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and community funds.
Activities and expected goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the groups most in need. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
