Cornuda Social Support Project: Collaboration for Vulnerable Groups

Cornuda Convention

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total allocated funds for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed by regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training, and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating moments of encounter and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.

Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable people.
