Cornuda Social Support Project: Community, Services & Inclusion
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On early June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for the signing of a project supporting the most socially vulnerable individuals.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the ’ initiative amounts to about one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European Community funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
In addition, social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering points will be enhanced.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and to improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.
Role of Institutions and Associations
l’ Comunale Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services between the different involved components.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in the’ organization and management of activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
