Cornuda Social Support Project Enhances Elderly and Disabled Lives
Cornuda Agreement
On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which has a duration of two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funds allocated for the implementation of the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Union funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the more vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community gathering and solidarity.
The role of institutions and associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing supervisory and coordinating services among the various involved entities.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and improving the quality of life of the most vulnerable individuals.
