Cornuda Social Support Project Enhances Elderly and Disabled Lives

Cornuda Agreement

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, such as the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Community funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation services will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social integration and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community encounters and solidarity.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring security services and coordination among the various involved components.
