Cornuda Social Support Project Enhances Elderly and Disabled Living
Cornuda Convention
On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.
Activities Planned and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and meeting centers will be established.
The project seeks to promote social integration and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for meetups and solidarity among citizens.
Role of Institutions and Associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring supervision and coordination services among the various involved components.
The volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
