Cornuda Social Support Project Launched with Regional and European Funding

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held in the lounge of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last for two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European funds.

Activities and Expected Goals

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need. Social transportation and institutions, listening centers, and meeting places will also be enhanced.
