Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with Community and EU Funding
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the socially most vulnerable individuals.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, aims primarily to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the ’ initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union funds.
Activities and Planned Objectives
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
Transportation services, social services, listening centers, and gathering spots will also be enhanced.
