Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with Community and EU Funding

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most socially vulnerable people. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European Union resources.

Activities and Expected Goals

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation, services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be enhanced.
