Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with €100K Funding

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, an agreement was signed at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to endorse a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives from the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last for two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly people and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European funds.

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the lower-income groups. Additionally, social transport services will be enhanced, and listening centers and gathering places will be established.
