Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with €100K Funding

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project to support the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has affirmed its commitment to supporting the initiatives, ensuring security services and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
