Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with €100K Funding from EU and Region
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the day beginning of June 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Union funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization activities for the categories most in need. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
