Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with EU Funding to Improve Elderly Care

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, with a duration of two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total sum allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the categories most in need. Additionally, social transport and institutions, listening centers, and gathering places will be strengthened.
