Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with Regional and Community Funds
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants in the operation included some representatives of local political and social forces, among them the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the groups most in need. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
