Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with Regional Funding
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most socially vulnerable people.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total sum allocated for the implementation of the ’ initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.
Activities and Planned Goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
In addition, social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering spaces will be enhanced.
