Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with Regional Funding and Community Involvement
Start of the agreement and participants
On the beginning of June 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most socially vulnerable people.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Quartiere Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the ’ initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and community funds.
Activities and intended goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
Additionally, social transport and services, listening centers, and gathering places will be enhanced.
