Cornuda Social Support Project Promotes Inclusion for Elderly and Disabled

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating opportunities for community gathering and solidarity among citizens.

The municipal administration has expressed its commitment to support the initiatives, ensuring guard services and coordination among the various involved components.
