Cornuda Social Support Project Targets Elderly and Disabled Citizens

Cornuda Agreement

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives from the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, aims primarily to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funds allocated for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project aims to promote social integration and improve the quality of life of those involved, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.

Role of institutions and associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing security services and coordinating the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
