Cornuda’s 1996 Social Support Initiative Enhances Vulnerable Communities

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On early June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of the local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need. Additionally, social transport, and the support centers, listening centers, and gathering places will be enhanced.
