Cornuda’s 1996 Social Support Project Promotes Inclusion & Community

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last for two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union resources.

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need. Additionally, social transport services will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
