Cornuda’s Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Well-Being

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the initiative, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will have a duration of two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the execution of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union resources.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, creating opportunities for community meeting and solidarity.

The role of institutions and associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
