Corteno Golgi hosts a photographic exhibition by Carlo Deflorian
Corteno Golgi will host the photographic exhibition “Guardian and Witness” by Carlo Deflorian, former commander of the State Forestry Corps station, from August 2 to August 31, 2025. The exhibition, set up in the Conference Hall of the Camillo Golgi Museum, features a selection of 40 large-format photographs that depict daily life in the high Val Camonica, capturing moments of beauty and toil. Curated by Mauro Delai and Dr. Antonella Calvi, the exhibition is supported by the Municipality of Corteno Golgi and is accompanied by a catalog with a preface by historian Luisa Bondoni.
The inauguration will take place on Saturday, August 2 at 5:00 PM, while the works will be open for viewing every day except Thursday, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with free admission. This initiative not only celebrates the local visual heritage but also serves as an important testament to a world at risk of disappearing, highlighting the significance of collective memory through photography as a tool for storytelling and cultural identity.
