Countdown to the 51st Fiera del Vino Doc in Polpenazze

Countdown to the 51st edition of the «Fiera del Vino Doc» in Polpenazze scheduled from May 26 to 29. An event that has rightfully become part of the local tradition, during which rivers of wine from the Riviera del Garda Bresciano are poured.

The event is highly anticipated and, in some ways, feared due to the multitude of people who crowd the spaces that the organizers are already preparing to host the entire event in the best possible way.

Attractions and Competitions

In addition to wine stands, it also offers numerous other complementary attractions, such as photography and painting exhibitions.

For several years now, special attention has been dedicated to these two topics in the corresponding sections of the competitions, organized by the Biblioteca and the Fiera Committee, which share the same theme: «Wine, the Vine, and the Landscape of Valtenesi».

Photography Competition

Regarding photography, this year’s contest, open to amateurs and hobbyists, reaches its XIII edition.

Among the various rules, the size of the photos should be noted, with a maximum of four per participant, in black and white or color, ranging from 20×30 to 30×40 centimeters.

The deadline for submission is set for 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 13.

There are three prizes at stake, in addition to plaques and trophies, valued at 500, 300, and 200 thousand lire.

The same deadline applies to artists participating in the XII edition of this competition.

The prize amounts differ, with values set at 1 million, 600 thousand, and 400 thousand lire.

Accepted works, with minimum dimensions of 30×40 and a maximum of 60×80 centimeters, are limited to one per artist.

Award Ceremony and Information

The award ceremonies for both competitions will take place at the exhibition venue on Monday, May 29, starting at 9 p.m.
