In Gavardo, a course on fraud prevention has been organized in collaboration with the local police, aimed at protecting elderly citizens from the increasing incidents of fraud occurring in the area. In recent months, there has been a notable rise in cases of scams targeting individuals over 60, making informative and training initiatives necessary to combat this phenomenon. The municipality has thus arranged three evenings dedicated to raising awareness among seniors on this crucial issue.
The sessions will take place on Friday, January 17, Thursday, March 20, and Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at various locations: the “C. Zane” Auditorium at Via Quarena 8, the “San Luigi Gonzaga” Oratory at Via S. Giacomo 8, and the P.G. Frassati Oratory at Via S. Antonio 2. During these meetings, local police experts will discuss preventive techniques and share personal experiences to educate participants about the risks associated with scams and effective ways to protect themselves.
