A young man in an evident state of intoxication was arrested in Pozzolengo after ignoring a stop signal from the Local Police and initiating a dangerous escape. On Friday evening, around 9 PM, a patrol instructed a car that was driving suspiciously to pull over, but the driver chose to flee, endangering the life of an officer who was nearly struck by the speeding vehicle. To stop the car, one of the officers had to fire two shots at the tires, successfully bringing the vehicle to a halt after a few kilometers.
The young man behind the wheel, driving a car registered in his father’s name, underwent tests that revealed a blood alcohol level of 2.41 grams per liter, nearly five times over the legal limit. On Saturday morning, he appeared in court for an expedited hearing, opting not to answer the judge’s questions, who imposed a requirement for him to sign in while awaiting trial.
