On Friday, October 24th at 8:45 PM, the section of the **CAI of Desenzano del Garda** will host **Claudio Inselvini**, president of the central section of the CAI Accademico d’Italia. The evening will be dedicated to high-altitude **mountaineering** and its evolution in relation to **climate change**, a topic that is increasingly relevant in the world of mountains. Inselvini, a renowned climber from Brescia with over a thousand ascents to his name, will discuss the challenges that climate change presents for climbing enthusiasts and local communities. The meeting will take place in the Brunelli hall of Desenzano, located at Via G. Carducci 4, within the town hall. Admission is free, and the climber aims to stimulate a collective reflection on how mountaineering can evolve in a context of growing attention towards the environment and sustainable tourism. During the evening, evocative images of his experiences on iconic mountains such as Mont Blanc, the Dolomites, and even more distant destinations like Patagonia and Pakistan will be presented.
